So many uses

for the vacuum.

My recipe for putting Colin to sleep - sometimes unintentionally:

1 moby wrap
1 baby
1 vacuum

Insert baby into wrap (facing front or back) and clean the house. The kiddo will be asleep in no time:

LOST

Does anyone own season 2 of LOST? We just started watching it on NetFlix instant view, so we can watch a new episode right after another if we want. I could get them sent to us on disc, but I hate waiting for the next disc to come when something big is about to happen.

If you have it and wouldn't mind letting me borrow it, please let me know!

Wicked

Sunday afternoon, Andrew and I went to see Wicked at TPAC and I loved it! I have actually never seen all of the Wizard of Oz, so I just added it to my Netflix list. I have a feeling I will view the movie differently than if I had seen it first and then Wicked. Because now, I am not going to believe the Wicked Witch is really a bad person.

The set was amazing and so was the music. I told Andrew that he now had to take me to see Beauty and the Beast next June for my birthday.

Thinking about Christmas

How bad is it that Santa already bought something for little Colin? My husband will have to restrain me, me b/c whether he is good or bad, he is going to have a Merry Christmas. I couldn't pass up the oh so cute piece of kiddie luggage at Super Target today (the only downside to being back at work in Smyrna....spending too much money at Super Target). I know, boring present for a kid, but that is one of two "practical" gifts Santa will be bringing this year. That, and an umbrella stroller (OK, I benefit a little more from that one).

I figure if he won't really remember what he gets at this young of an age anyway, I may as well sneak a few things in there he actually needs along with the toys.

Back to work...

...and loving it.

Except I can't help but wonder - am I at work during the time that he is at his happiest? Will I come home to the fussiest time of the day?

But at the same time, I feel a little more prepared to handle the meltdown that might occur as I haven't had to deal with it all day.

And with the next baby (as everyone says I will be want, even though I can't imagine doing this again for a while...) I will not take 9 weeks of maternity leave. I am realizing that as fun as being a stay at home mom sounds initially...it is not for me. At least not for me full time. Maybe when Colin is a little older I will revisit the possibility again.

But for now - I love my desk, my chair, my coffee cup, my multi-colored pens, my calendar, and even my neglected plant.

This office is now my quite place and I am SO thankful to have it.
