I taught my OB a new term today: Lightening Crotch. I know, so un-lady like. But when I asked if a certain stabbing pain was normal, I wanted him to be aware that I called it this - just in case it came back up.
In other news, I made a little more progress. Yay!! Not a huge amount of progress, but enough to keep me happy for at least another week!
In other news - only two more days left of work! Today, they gave me a baby gift (our high chair) and had an ice cream cake. James said he was glad I was pregnant so they had an excuse to go buy cake. =) I am just glad there was something cold to eat - I feel like a furnace!
I am off to finish up today's paperwork and pray for more Lightening Crotch, as I can only assuming it can mean good things - right???

I am so bored...
I usually can keep pretty busy at work, even when there isn't really anything going on. I can re-organize or whatever.
But I am so.stinking.bored and still have one more week to go. I worked really hard to get everything caught up and in perfect order for someone to take over while I am gone - and now I have an clear desk, empty inbox, and just waiting for the mail so that I can work on something. I am debating whether or not I want to enter all of our assets into a new program and try it out, but I don't want to to leave it unfinished.
I got so bored that at 9am, I decided to take a break and go to Super Target to buy a breast pump. I might need it and I have nothing else begging for my attention right now.
I also starting googling "induce labor naturally." I found a food list that I like...even if it does nothing, I will at least enjoy what I eat the last few weeks:
Pineapple
Spicy Foods
Chinese Food
Eggplant Parmesan
Licorice
I will skip the licorice - yuck! But maybe my dinner from Garcia's last night will kick start a little more progress. (I am not demanding a baby be delivered in 3 days or anything, but can a girl see a little more progress at the next appointment?) Pineapple was on sale at Publix last week, so we were eating that like crazy anyway. And I make good eggplant parm. It is time consuming, so I guess I better make that at least one more time before he/she arrives. And I ALWAYS love an excuse to go to Fulin's - Orange Chicken and a spring roll.
I am so bored...off to reheat the rest of my quesadilla.

FRIENDS
I am still catching up on this week's Bachelorette, but did anyone else notice the guy on the group date that looked like Chandler Bing?
I don't even know his real name.
And Kiptyn is still a favorite. =)

Working with men - or someone named Joyce
And here is that crappiest part about working with a bunch of men - you cannot keep ice cream treats in the freezer. It is 2:03pm on a Friday afternoon, 4.5 weeks before my due date, and I am ready to go on maternity leave - NOW. Or at least shorten my days - because it can't be a good sign when I want to cry over stolen ice cream.
OK, I sound unreasonable here, but this is the second time my ice cream has been consumed by someone else. And it was the LAST ONE. Had I known it was gone, I could have purchased more.
And dang it - I am hot, tired, and feel like I have arthritis- and those mixed together already make for a person that doesn't want to be too terribly social. Add to that my afternoon snack disappointment and you have the reason pregnant women are stereotyped to be so cranky toward the end.
I am cranking up the A/C and freezing them out. They have it coming.
P.S. - I considered the possibility that I ate the last Skinny Cow Sandwich. However, after raking my brain and writing down how many I ate on each day...there should have been one left for today. And I would remember throwing out the carton (wouldn't I??).

Why feet?
Seriously, what is the deal with Tanner and his foot fetish? I somehow feel dirty listening to him talk about what he wants to do to the poor girl's feet!
I was hoping he and David (who needs to worry more about himself than everyone else) wouldn't get a rose.
Wes...I am convinced he is only there to start his country music career. I was unsure, until he came up to her room to finish playing the song he wrote for her, and then said, "I wanna play it again, is that OK?" Um...why do I feel you want to play continuously when the cameras are around? And who wants to hear the same song OVER and OVER again?

Personal Concert
Look what you can purchase now at Sam's Club for just $24,500.00. Shipping is included...
I didn't know that was something you could buy, especially at a Sam's Club.
He must really need the money.

35/35
Anxiety is slowing starting to creep in, mostly at work.
Today marks 35 weeks down and 35 days to go.
I feel like I have so much to get done and cleaned up around the office before taking a couple months off. If possible, I am going to try and force myself to "nest" early at the office, so it is finished and taken care of, so I can do my REAL nesting at home when the time comes.
I have no updated picks for the Bachelorette from last night's episode yet. If I lay down at night, I fall asleep right away. So I let the DVR tape is so I can watch it earlier tonight and fast forward through all the commercials and guys that I don't like. Or I might play it on my computer while I file today. Either way, my picks are coming.

Fiber One Muffins and Skinny Cow
So I think most of you know I do Weight Watchers (when NOT pregnant!). I have found it an excellent program to maintain your healthy weight by teaching you healthy eating habits (without buying program food - which I think it ridiculous). I also love the fact that they have a couple options for learning better eating habits depending on your lifestyle.
This time I will be using the program to lose more weight than I have previously. I re-signed up this weekend and began getting everything in order so I don't have to worry about wasting time doing it after my baby gets here and I want to spend all my time with them. Mostly, this just consists of adding recipes to my profile, refreshing myself on points values, and getting back in the habit of sticking to a minimum number of fruits, veggies, dairy, and healthy oils.
I like having the pantry stocked with low point snacks to pair with my fruit so that I don't feel deprived. The freezer is another place I try to keep low point sweet treats. I thought I would share two treats I like (one new, one old) in case you are looking for something yummy to hold you over.
First the old: I love Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwiches. They are huge - they are not a diet looking snack. We buy them at Sam's. A box of 20 is around $9 or $10 and that is a chocolate and vanilla mix. I am addicted to ice cream and these hit the spot.
And the new: I found these Fiber One Wild Blueberry & Oat Muffins at Sam's and decided to give them a try. You would never guess there are SEVEN grams of fiber in these. They are in individual packets and are stored in the freezer. Just pop one in the microwave for 20-25 seconds and you are good to go! They make breakfast easy and I will probably buying a box after my maternity leave to keep in the office freezer for my mid-morning snacks.
