2 Month Shots
Colin went for his 2 month appointment today and got his shots. We also got his weight and height measurements - 12 lbs 9 oz and 24 inches long! His last appointment was only 13 days ago, and at that time he was only 11 lbs and 22.5 inches long. He must have been doing some serious growing these past few days!

From Belly to Back!
Colin was trying so hard today to go from his back to his belly, and would always get on his side and then just couldn't get there. But during tummy time today, he made it from his belly onto his back! He was such a happy boy!

Random thought...
Sometimes I wish I breastfed and that I was as good at it as Mrs. Duggar. She does it while doing other things around the house. I guess you get good at it by the 18th one though.
A happy picture to start the weekend off right
I can't leave you thinking my son is a complete terror, so here is a recent picture of him happy. I will say that when we can get the boy happy, he gives the biggest smiles.
Using his "Kickin' Coaster" - it sounds like an amusement park ride
And does anyone want to meet up for lunch sometime next week? I am free any day except Wednesday. Leave me a message! I will go anywhere, anytime!

I am ready to surrender
This is miserable. I am ready to surrender to the term "colic." I don't know what else to try. His acid reflux meds seem to be helping during feeding time. He is a little less whiny, and not arching his back when I burp him anymore. But I can only get a good hour in the morning and hour in the evening at most that he isn't crying. If I can get him to sleep, he stops, but I am exhausted. This has been the longest 7 weeks of my life that I never want to repeat.
I love him to death, but I am not going to lie, if I can fast forward through to when he is about 16 weeks, I would do it in a heart beat. I am so tired of people telling me to enjoy it, it goes fast. Bull - your baby must have only cried when he/she was hungry or wet. My mom even had to hand him back to me yesterday b/c she couldn't even console him - and she usually has no problem putting up with the wailing.
Like I said - MISERABLE. If he isn't going to sleep all the way through the night, he could at least show my some mercy and chill a bit during the day.

Why is this boy so happy?
He is going to the Bahamas!!
Royal Carribean's infant policy states that they have to be 6 months of age to cruise. At 6 months and 25 days, Colin will be setting sail on his first cruise! We are so excited to be able to let him experience such a fun vacation!
So in preparation for his fun filled week, I have been having to buy summer clothing in larger sizes, since the ones he has now won't fit in 5 months, and will be getting his passport soon.
We might be crazy, trying this at such a young age, but luckily my parents will be there to help if we need it.
If you are looking for a good CD to buy, I recommend Gloriana. Excellent! And The Time Traveler's Wife - the movie (of course) wasn't as good as the book. Still worth seeing though!

Such a Big Boy!
Colin had a check up today with Dr. Lowe, and he is now 11 lbs even and 22.5 inches long! Since Colin is still fussy almost all day and does quite a bit of spitting up, crying during a feeding, and back arching, she has started trying us on some acid reflux medications. IF this is the problem, hopefully we see an improvement soon!

Baby Acne
No new pictures for a while. Little man has some serious baby acne - at least that is what I assume it to be. Not only is it on his cheeks, but his chin and balding head. And I swear there is some on his eye lid, but he never has his eyes closed long enough for me to check it out! After googling it, I read that it is usually at its worst at the peak for fussiness. I hope so - these small two hour blocks of sleep at night are going to kill me.
He is wide awake now, and happily banging away at dangling toys on his activity mat.

Thing I can't live without right now
These things make my life so much easier in regard to Colin:
- Baby Crack Machine - aka noise machine. It has been like a switch to turn his crying off so far. I hope it continues. It brings sanity into my world.
- Miracle Blanket - It is swaddling for dummies and he hasn't escaped from it yet.
- Baby GAP socks - They are the only darn socks that will stay on his little feet!
- Whale Bath Tub - The kid loves his bath. It is an instant calmer...until you take him out.
- Burp Cloths - Because he always spits up on me, and never on Andrew.
- The Avenue - We go there almost everyday. As long as the little man stays cool, he stays happy.
- Kashi Granola Bars - Because I no longer know what the word Breakfast means. I can eat these with one hand and feel full.
- Grandmas - Enough said.
